Kombucha: One Of My Favorite Healthy Drinks

It took me a while to actually give it a go to Kombucha. And it did because the first time I have heard of it I had decided to stop drinking and due its fermentation process Kombucha has a little bit of alcohol in it. So it became a major no-no for me. And also because it’s bubbly I don’t drink soda and I don’t, in part because it is bubbly. Anyways, one day I was eating at the Avocaderia in New York City and I wanted to drink something with (I usually don’t) and boom, I decided to try Kombucha just because. And yes, back then I was again more opened to alcohol in a very few cases like a little bit on drinks or as an ingredient in food (hello back Tiramisu). And I loved it. So much that I started to drink almost everyday. Now I can say I am a Kombucha converted. Not only thanks to its health benefits (I adore incorporating healthy things to my routines) but also because I really, really like it. Although it is bubbly, it does not feel like it in your belly, if you know what I mean.

And speaking of its health benefits… some of them include better digestion and imperoved bowel movements due to its probiotics, it gives a boost to your immune system and your energy level, it can help your liver to detox your body, it has vitamins, minerals and antioxidants so it can be an aid to your anti-bad-aging routine… There are even some claims that it can ease the menopause symptoms.

Personally, I cannot attest for those health benefits in Kombucha because when I started drinking it I was with all those elements well balanced. Or so I think. Anyways, I still drink it every time I get a chance because I do love it. Kombucha has a place in my favorite drinks list along with tea and coconut water.

And if you don’t know yet, Kombucha is a fermented drink, made of sweetened black or green tea, known in China for centuries as a health’s elixir.
